What are the likely flags of the new hotels?
We believe that one of the leading international brands is essential to this development to provide the broad marketing and sales strength to boost occupancy rates and strengthen demand for accommodations on Jekyll Island. We also believe that all three hotels should be managed by one operating company and use complimentary brands.

Why are you doing a mix of hotels, for-sale, timeshare, and nightly rentals?
In order to accommodate all Georgians, we believe a wide variety of lodging options should be available to the public. The more choices the public has for staying – whether it is day use, nightly, weekly, or ownership – the more likely Jekyll is to get new visitors to the island that it needs. A mix of accommodations also helps smooth seasonal fluctuations in island visitation.

Will the campgrounds be upgraded or improved as part of the revitalization effort?
We have no immediate plans for upgrades of this kind, but we certainly want to make improvements to all areas of the island so as to ensure that all visitors have an enjoyable stay on the island. We hope to address ideas for these kinds of improvements over the next several months.
